Myco

Hand a useful app to the people around you. Pair with someone — bump phones,
tap them in the list of phones nearby, or scan a code — and share the app.
It lands on their phone, opens full-screen like any other app, and keeps
opening when there is no internet.

Apps travel straight from phone to phone over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Aware or the
local network. Whoever has an app can hand it on to the next person, so it
reaches the group even after you've left. Keep Myco open on screen while
pairing and sharing; phones find each other only while it's open.

Myco is built around napplets: small programs that ask for what they need —
your identity, Nostr relays, the phones nearby — and get only what you
allow. Napplets built for the mesh keep working between phones in reach
with no signal at all, and a phone that joins late catches up from the
phones near it. Any nsite (a static website on Nostr) works offline too,
once it's on your phone.

Comes with AppStore, for finding napplets from your relays, from people you
follow, and from the phones around you.

Every install has a Nostr identity from the first launch: a guest you can
keep, or replace with your own key or a signer app like Amber.

On first launch Myco asks for Bluetooth, nearby devices and a VPN. The VPN
stays on your phone: Myco uses it to talk to other phones, not to route
your traffic anywhere. Android 12 and older also ask for location, which
Android requires for Bluetooth scanning. Needs Android 10 or newer.
