The missing context of places.

Mafrend brings conversations, shared places, and time-bound location updates
together on one map. It gives a place the context of the people and messages
around it, whether you are sharing a destination one-to-one or planning with
a private circle.

Share a rich POI link in chat and open the place directly in Mafrend. Keep a
useful destination close to its conversation instead of losing the plan in a
stream of messages.

When a trip, community, or close circle needs a private space, create a
Marmot-based private group. Its creator is the initial admin, responsible for
membership, shareable invite links, and access requests. Members can exchange
encrypted messages and media, save durable Group Places, and send explicit
time-bound User Location Messages when an “I’m here” update matters.

What you can do:

Keep one-to-one conversations active with replies, emoji reactions,
forwarding, copy and unsend actions, rich link previews, and photo galleries.
Share a rich POI link and open the place directly from Mafrend.
Create Marmot-based private groups with encrypted messages and media.
Share an invite link, review access requests, and send encrypted invitations.
Add a Group Place for a headquarters, meeting point, or useful POI.
Send a time-bound User Location Message to coordinate “I’m here” updates.
Use a portable Nostr identity instead of a closed social-graph account.
