- Activity Trace Ever see something on your phone and then struggle to find it again? ActivityTrace creates a private, searchable memory of your Android activity. Search notifications, captured screen content, and indexed files from one place. No Internet permission. No cloud. No account. No telemetry. Your data stays encrypted on your device. Find what you saw — one searchable timeline of notifications, screen content and files Search naturally — type "yesterday", "last week" or plain keywords Filter precisely — by app (in:signal) or content type (type:notification), with prefix matching, ranked results and highlighting You control retention — choose how long data is kept and block individual apps See when and where — statistics about captured activity over time Encrypted at rest — SQLCipher AES-256-CBC + Android Keystore Theme support — system default, light, dark, or OLED black Demo mode — try ActivityTrace with fictional data, fully separate from your real activity Privacy isn't a promise — it's an architecture. ActivityTrace has no Internet permission, so there is no hidden analytics endpoint, no cloud sync, and no telemetry waiting to be disabled. Your data cannot leave your device. Free and open source software (GPL-3.0-only). Distributed via F-Droid: no Google Play Services, no proprietary dependencies, no AI or ML components.
- LocReminder LocReminder is an alarm clock that goes off at a place instead of a time. You know roughly where you are going, but not exactly when you will get there. Traffic, delays and unfamiliar routes make that impossible to predict, so a normal alarm is no use. Instead you spend the whole journey glancing out of the window, unable to properly rest or focus. Drop a pin on your destination, choose how close you want to get, and put your phone away. When you arrive, LocReminder rings a real alarm: a looping sound that plays even on silent, vibration, and a full-screen alert over your lock screen. What it is good for 🚌 Long bus or train rides, so you can actually sleep 🗺️ Arriving somewhere unfamiliar, where you would not recognise your stop 📚 Commuting, so you can read or work without watching the route 🚗 Road trips as a passenger, to be woken before the turn-off 🛍️ Errands, so you are reminded at the shop or the post office rather than after passing it Features 🔔 A real alarm, not a quiet notification: loops on the alarm audio channel so it sounds even on silent 🎵 Choose your own alarm sound: any system ringtone, or an audio file of your own 📍 Search for a destination by name, drag the map to place the pin exactly, or type coordinates straight in — the last of those needs no connection 📝 Give each alarm a task in your own words — "Buy medicine" — or let it take the name of the place 🔁 Repeat an alarm every day, or on the weekdays you choose, for a commute or a standing errand 📋 Multiple alarms, each with its own trigger radius, and live distance to each 📏 Adjustable radius from 100 m to 3 km (or 330 ft to 1.9 mi in Miles mode), so you get as much warning as you need 🌗 Light and dark themes 📶 Works with no signal: the alarm runs on GPS alone and never needs a connection, and the map is kept on your phone so it still draws in a dead spot 🔋 Battery-aware: checks rarely when you are far away, more often as you approach, and not at all on days none of your alarms are set for 🛡️ Reliability screen that detects your phone's manufacturer and shows the exact settings needed, plus a test that proves the alarm gets through a locked screen No signal? No problem The alarm never needs the internet. GPS is a receive-only radio, and the arrival check happens on your phone, so it rings in a tunnel, in a village with no data, or with no SIM card at all. Only the map pictures and searching a place by name need a connection — so every part of the map you look at is kept on the phone for a month, and the streets around each alarm are saved the moment you set it. Privacy LocReminder has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server. Your saved destinations never leave your device. Maps and place search come from OpenStreetMap. Important: background restrictions Many manufacturers (Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Huawei) run their own battery managers that stop background apps, which will prevent the alarm from ringing. No app can change those settings on your behalf. After installing, open Menu, then Alarm reliability, and follow the steps shown for your device. It takes a minute and is the difference between an alarm that works and one that does not.
- Personal Stuff App used to track, manage and remind you of your own stuff. Sometimes we forgot where to put something somewhere or forgot when something is going to expire. it could be your cooked food that have short expiry or maybe raw meat or chicken that people forgot to cook or even dispose them from refrigerator, or could be anything with expiry or need action that you store somewhere and forgot about it. Having calendar events to all of these doesn't really solve problems, because it can be a lot of things to put in and you do not want to mix important events with your raw meat expiration events. Having todo list app or notes also not much helpful since it was meant to be as generic as possible. similar to like warehouse logistics system but more to personal. Features of this app: Allow user to manage item easily Setup notification to remind you of something Allow user to manage the amount and reminder of the items to keep track of the item. Support barcode scan as input & search Backup and restore app data with ZIP format including images and thumbnails Automatic backup: schedule regular backups to a folder of your choice (keeps the most recent backups) Support for dynamic colors (Material You) on Android 12+ Available in 11 languages (English, German, Estonian, French, Indonesian, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk, Romansh, Chinese)

- Tryst Tryst is a private, local-only journal for your intimate life. It keeps everything on your phone — there is no account, no sign-up, no sync, and no internet access at all. The app declares no INTERNET permission, so your data simply cannot be sent anywhere. Privacy is the whole point, not an add-on: No network. The app has no INTERNET permission, so nothing can leak to a server. There are no analytics, ads, or crash-reporting SDKs of any kind. Encrypted at rest. Your entries live in an encrypted SQLCipher database and your photos are encrypted in the app's private storage — never in your gallery or any shared/cloud location. Locked behind your PIN. A 6-digit app PIN (separate from your phone's) gates everything, with optional biometric unlock. The app locks itself when it leaves the screen, and screenshots and the app-switcher preview are blocked. No backup leakage. The app is excluded from cloud auto-backup. The only way to move your data is the app's own manual, password-encrypted export. What you can do: Log encounters in as much or as little detail as you like — date and time, duration, partners, acts, positions, protection, mood, setting, occasion, toys, satisfaction rating, orgasms, notes, and encrypted photo attachments. Make the categories your own. Tryst ships almost no predefined categories — you build your own acts, kinks, positions, toys, occasions, and finish locations on a dedicated management page for each, and everything you add counts fully in Insights and Achievements. Track partners (named or anonymous) with per-partner stats. Search and filter your history. Find any tryst by note, partner, or category, and narrow by date, partner, place, mood, protection, duration, and more. Browse your Photos. A dedicated Photos tab gathers every image attached to a tryst plus per-partner and self portrait albums, with layouts (date grid, mosaic, by-partner, People, feed), search, filters, favourites, bulk actions (long-press and drag to select a run), a fast scroller with a month bubble, grouping by day, month or year, a slideshow, and a full-screen viewer you can swipe through, zoom, and delete from (with undo). Optional "blur until tapped" gate keeps photos private when you hand the phone over. Explore Insights: streaks, trends, and per-attribute breakdowns, all computed on-device with hand-drawn charts — and focus them on a year, a quarter, or a custom date range. Earn Achievements derived from your own log, including a Completionist badge for finishing them all. Customize the look with light/dark themes and Material You dynamic color. Important — there is no password recovery. Your PIN is the only key. If you forget it and have not set up biometric unlock, your data cannot be unlocked: there is no email reset, because there is no server. Keep your PIN safe and use the encrypted export to back up your data. Tryst is free and open-source software under the GNU General Public License v3.0, so anyone can verify these privacy claims in the source.

- TrackerControl TrackerControl allows users to monitor and control the widespread, ongoing, hidden data collection in mobile apps about user behaviour ('tracking'). To detect tracking, TrackerControl combines the power of the Disconnect blocklist, used by Firefox, and our in-house blocklist is used, created from analysing ~2 000 000 apps! Additionally, TrackerControl supports custom blocklists. This approach reveals the companies behind tracking, allows to block tracking selectively, and exposes the purposes of tracking, such as analytics or advertising. The app also aims to educate about your rights under Data Protection Law, such the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Under the hood, TrackerControl uses Android's VPN functionality, to analyse apps' network communications locally on the Android device. This is accomplished through a local VPN server, to enable network traffic analysis by TrackerControl. No root is required, other VPNs or Private DNS are not supported. No external VPN server is used, to keep your data safe! TrackerControl even protects you against DNS cloaking, a popular technique to hide trackers in websites and apps. TrackerControl will always be free and open source, being a research project.
- Tinc Mesh VPN Virtually connects devices (mobiles, computers, servers, …) securely over the Internet as if they were on the same local network, using the tinc mesh networking protocol. See tincapp.euxane.eu for the setup guide, help, and source code.
- VocaPhone Speak into your phone and the text shows up where you are already typing. VocaPhone is a system keyboard: switch to it in any app, dictate, and the transcript is inserted at your cursor through Android's normal input method interface. Transcription never touches a cloud speech service. It runs either on your own device or on a machine you already own and administer via a self-hosted gateway. There are no accounts, no analytics SDK, and no subscription. The Play build offers optional anonymous usage reporting, off unless you turn it on, reporting to a server the developers self-host; it never includes your speech, your text, or your gateway address. The F-Droid build has it compiled out entirely. Two ways to transcribe On device. Download a Whisper model once and dictate with no network at all. The speech engine is whisper.cpp, compiled from source as part of the app. Models range from a few tens of megabytes to several gigabytes, and the app recommends one that fits your phone's memory. Where available, the catalog also includes sherpa-onnx models such as Parakeet. Through your own gateway. Point the app at VocaGateway running on your Mac, Linux desktop, or home server, and that machine does the work. This is the faster option for large models and lets a phone use hardware it does not have. You choose the network path to your gateway: a trusted LAN, a private Tailscale network, or HTTPS behind your own reverse proxy. Access uses bearer tokens issued per device, which you can name and revoke individually, and pairing can be done by scanning a QR code. Dictation 54 selectable languages plus automatic detection: English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Hungarian, Greek, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Catalan, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Swahili, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Malay and Filipino, along with Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Assamese and Nepali Four writing styles: Formal, Casual, Very Casual and Excited, with punctuation that follows the script rather than assuming a Latin full stop Start, finish, cancel, retry and undo, all from the keyboard Automatic microphone routing, or pick an input explicitly, with the microphone in use shown in the app Bluetooth headset microphones are supported Permissions The keyboard writes through InputConnection and never reads the contents of the field you are typing into. Camera access is requested only when you tap "Scan QR" to pair with a gateway, and the microphone is used only while a dictation is running, with a foreground service notification for the duration. About this build The build distributed here is compiled entirely from source. It leaves out the optional sherpa-onnx speech engine, which upstream ships as a prebuilt binary library, so on-device transcription uses the Whisper model catalog. Gateway transcription is unaffected and can use any engine your gateway supports. On supported builds, sherpa-onnx models such as Parakeet are available alongside Whisper. VocaPhone is part of the Voca family alongside VocaLinux and VocaMac. Report issues on the GitHub issue tracker.

A weather card shows the skies and temperatures you found it in, from SnowRaven and RainCrow weather blocks. Calendar A year of your birding as twelve month grids, each day shaded by how many species you saw. Fold the years together, or narrow it to a single species. Targets A county's targets over your own record: the lifers there, the birds you have yet to photograph, record, or film, and the ones you have never given a breeding code. Rank them by eBird's frequencies or by what has been reported lately. Multimedia Your life list as a media checklist: which species you have photographed, recorded, and filmed, and which you still need. Narrow it by sex and age. Breeding Codes Every species you have recorded breeding evidence for, as a matrix against eBird's breeding codes, colored by evidence tier. Checklists Your checklists as whole outings: search every comment you have written, and filter by what an outing has. List Comparer Two life lists side by side, or any two public checklists: what they share and what only one has. Named Birds Tag an individual bird by name in a species comment and SnowRaven gathers everything you have on it: sightings, places, a timeline, its own media. With several named birds, one strip puts them all on a shared time axis. Privacy Private by default, and in your control: no account, no analytics, no telemetry, no server we run. Your eBird backup, Macaulay Library export, and API keys stay on your device, and in your phone's own backup if you use one. The Android app has no Google services, no Firebase, and no crash reporter. SnowRaven's own code makes no request to Google. Its screens are drawn by your phone's Android System WebView, a system component that may contact Google on its own; SnowRaven turns off the WebView's Safe Browsing and usage statistics, and has no setting for the rest. Privacy policy: https://snowraven.dtgibson.com/privacy.html What you'll need A free eBird API key and a free OpenWeather API key subscribed to its One Call by Call plan (activating it needs a payment card on file; set a usage cap to avoid charges), entered once in Settings. Most tabs also read your eBird backup and, for the media features, an optional Macaulay Library export. Network services SnowRaven relies on network services that are not free software: eBird for checklist details, hotspots, and recent sightings, and OpenWeather for weather, each used with your own API key, plus Esri's World Imagery for the optional Satellite map. Maps come from OpenFreeMap, with optional USGS topographic and Waymarked Trails layers, place search uses OpenStreetMap's Nominatim, and tides come from NOAA.

- Bati Train like a hero, build like a king. Bati turns strength training into a dark-fantasy RPG. A workout is a quest. Reps land as damage on a boss. The muscles you actually work raise the buildings of a village that grows out of what you lifted, not out of what you bought. SPORT FIRST, RPG SECOND The training logic leads and the game amplifies it. Nothing decorative gets between you and your next set: large tap targets, high-contrast text, and a screen designed for one hand in a noisy gym. WHAT YOU GET • Quests: guided sessions with targets that adapt to your level • Adventures: multi-session campaigns with a story between steps • Boss fights: reps become damage; weaknesses and criticals make the numbers mean something • Outings: walk, run or ride; the ground you cover raises the road out of the village • A village: buildings level up from the volume you actually logged • Oaths: pick one goal and let the app hold you to it • Reminders: on the days you choose, scheduled on the phone, no server • Backups: as a file, or automatic into a folder you pick, encrypted if you ask • Sync: one hero across several phones • Six languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese • A journal: history, records, your flame, muscle balance YOUR TRAINING STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account. No sign-up. No server of ours. No analytics, no ads, no tracking of any kind. Your sessions, your records and the GPS trace of an outing live in a database on your device. Your phone's own system backup can carry it, like any app's data, and you can turn that off. Uninstalling the app deletes it from the phone, not the copies you made elsewhere. Three features use the network, each behind its own switch in Settings, and all three start off: • The map behind an outing's route. The phone asks OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data, from tiles.openfreemap.org) for tiles, the square images a map is made of, around where you go. That tells the host roughly where you were, with your IP address and the time. Off, the route is drawn on a plain background. • Check for updates. Once a day, the app asks api.github.com whether a newer version exists. No identifier is sent, nothing is downloaded. • Device sync. Your history, encrypted on the phone (AES-256-GCM), goes to a WebDAV or Nextcloud server you choose, which cannot read it. Or into a folder that Syncthing keeps in step, and Bati makes no request at all. With all three off, the app makes no network request. Only two files in the code may make one from JavaScript, and a lint rule rejects any other before it ships. Location is read only while an outing is running, by a GPS module written for this app against Android's own location service. No Google Play Services, no third-party SDK, nothing that phones home. BODYWEIGHT FIRST The exercise catalogue is built around what you can do with no equipment, and adapts if you own some. Warm-ups are dynamic and scaled to the session in front of you, because a five-minute warm-up before a six-minute workout is a warm-up nobody does twice. NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE Bati is a training app. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you have an injury, a health condition or doubts about exercising, talk to a doctor before you start. Open source: https://github.com/Guiforge/bati

- Cairn Cairn reads your health and fitness data from the phone's health store — Apple Health on iOS, Health Connect on Android — and saves it as plain, open-format files (Open mHealth / IEEE 1752.1 JSON) in your own Nextcloud. You stay the sole owner of your data: there is no central server and the developer stores nothing. Requirements: Android 14 or newer. Cairn reads through Health Connect, which is part of the system only from Android 14; on Android 8-13 it is a separate Google app from the Play Store, which a Play-less device cannot install — so the app would find nothing to read. A Nextcloud of your own is optional: without one, Cairn still reads and shows your data, it just keeps the files on the phone. Features: Reads heart rate, steps, body weight, sleep and workouts — read-only. Cairn never writes to your health store. Syncs the files to your own Nextcloud over WebDAV, with optional background sync. In-app dashboard with a sleep-stage deep-dive and a BMI computed from your latest weight. Available in English and German. Privacy: No advertising, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party services. Your data lives only on your device and in the Nextcloud you control — never in any developer or third-party cloud. HTTPS only. The Nextcloud app password is stored in the operating system's secure storage and can be revoked at any time. Cairn is an aggregator and viewer, not a medical device. It makes no diagnostic or treatment claims.

- Meditation Timer Meditation Timer for Android is a free, open source app that can count and beep. It helps with repeating tasks, such as meditation. In essence, it is a simpler version of Foto Timer, and a rewrite of the original Meditation Timer for PalmOS from 20 years ago. Meditation Timer is working with "processes", which define how Meditation Timer counts, and how often it beeps. Processes can also be "chained" together, meaning that a process can automatically lauch another. Meditation Timer contains absolutely no AI whatsoever.
- Equalizer314 To start off there is really no "free" and/or "open source" alternative to Wavelet and Poweramp EQ that pairs the full DynamicsProcessing API with real audio-visual feedback, and I felt like after using both of those apps among other various EQ apps that there were huge shortcomings in terms of the features & accessibilities they offered. When I started developing this app I wanted to have both a powerful parametric eq function with minimal permissions; this is why I choose to use both the DynamicsProcessing & Visualizer APIs as the framework for this app as you only need minimal permissions for both of them to work in tandem. There are shortcomings from both these APIs, but I'll discuss more of that later. This app is built off of DynamicsProcessing API; this is the same API that Poweramp EQ & Wavelet both use but I felt in some aspects they weren't really being able really squeeze out the max potential that this API can offer. As someone who comes from the audio production & IEM world I have a lot of experience understanding what both sides of those worlds want and wanted to be able to take advantage of both to create something that met my creative endeavors. Using the Visualizer API I wanted to give users a way they can reliably cross reference visual data with audio data; this is both useful for the main EQ portion as you can visually reference audio changes you make, but this comes more into play with the Limiting & Multiband Compression sides of the app. While these features are for use in the DynamicsProcessing API; and many apps like Poweramp EQ & Wavelet (who premium locks these features); they just add knobs/sliders in and expect the user to understand exactly how these features work and without real audio-visual feedback, users aren't really able to take advantage of these features in their full potential. This is the reason why many DAWs and VST Plugins use audio-visual feedback with these functions specifically. Using Visualizer API with these DynamicsProcessing features; you're really able to get an intimate audio-visual feedback loop that gives you complete control over your audio framework. This app is free and open source software (FOSS) licensed under the GPL-3.0 License.

- Nightbell Point Nightbell at anything that answers over HTTP, or at one element on a rendered web page, and it watches it, charts it, and gets loud when it breaks. There is no server and no account. The phone in your pocket does the checking, and your API tokens and target URLs never leave the device. Three kinds of monitor: Status check: hit a URL, assert on the status code. Request and response: pick the method, set headers and a body, assert on what comes back (contains, equals, regex, or a JSON field by path). Page element: load the real page in an embedded browser and watch DOM nodes you picked by tapping them. Urgent alerts arrive as a full-screen red page with a looping alarm that keeps going until you acknowledge it, and it wakes the screen even if the phone is locked. A first-launch screen walks through the four Android grants a paging app actually needs (notifications, unrestricted battery, full-screen intent, Do Not Disturb access), because two of them have no system dialog and have to be opened by hand. A home-screen widget shows the worst monitor first. Settings let you shape the alert policy: what counts as down, sound, haptics, escalation, and quiet hours. Signed with the developer's own key. No Play Store listing.
- GeoShare Share a map link with GeoShare and the app will open it in another installed map app. Supported map links Google Maps Apple Maps 2GIS Amap (AutoNavi) Baidu Map (beta) Cartes IGN CoMaps HERE WeGo Kagi Maps Magic Earth MapQuest Maps.me Mapy.com OpenStreetMap Organic Maps OsmAnd Plus Codes (global only) Urbi Waze Yahoo! Maps Yandex Maps coordinates Example use cases When someone sends you a Google Maps link, but you prefer using OpenStreetMap, you can quickly open the same location in OsmAnd or Organic Maps. When you like Google Maps for finding places, but you prefer a different app for navigation, you can easily switch from Google Maps to your favorite navigation app. Other features Shows the geographic coordinates of a map link and allows copying them to clipboard in various formats, for example as a geo: link. Shows all points of a place list link. Allows performing an action automatically when a map link is processed. Allows launching navigation in all apps that support it, including TomTom. Allows opening a location in web maps, pre-installed ones or your own. Allows saving a location as a GPX file. Allows sending a location via a messaging app. Allows saving a location to a contact. Retries on patchy internet connection. Allows pasting map links directly into the app, instead of sharing them with it. Interface adapts to tablets. How it works and privacy considerations GeoShare converts map links (e.g. https://maps.app.goo.gl/...) into geo: links that can be opened by other map apps. To create a geo: link, geographic coordinates are required. GeoShare extracts them from the map URL. However, not all map URLs include coordinates. In such cases, GeoShare will prompt you for permission to connect to the map service (Google Maps, Apple Maps etc.) and retrieve the coordinates from either HTTP headers or the HTML document of the link. For more detailed information, check the app’s FAQ screen.
