Everything is encrypted before it is synced, so nobody but you can read it, not even us. Your vaults live on Nostr relays: open servers that anyone can run, and that only see encrypted data.

When you create a vault, Submarine gives you its key. That key opens your vault on your other devices, so keep it somewhere safe: if you lose it, nobody can recover your vault.
