Zapstore is a platform for discovering and installing Android apps published by developers directly on the Nostr network — without centralized gatekeeping or app store approvals. Apps are cryptographically signed, verifiable, and served from developer-controlled Nostr events.

## How it works

Apps are published as Nostr events (kind 32267) signed by developers and distributed via open relays. Releases (kind 30063) contain APK hashes and download URLs. Zapstore verifies signatures and presents a web catalog with no single point of control.

## Compared to alternatives

Unlike Google Play or F-Droid, Zapstore requires no central approval. Unlike sideloading, apps carry cryptographic provenance. Developers publish directly; communities curate via stacks.

## Crawling

All public pages are freely crawlable. No login walls or paywalls on catalog content.
